Why You Should Use Premium Wordpress Themes

http://bit.ly/KfW2yC

WordPress is a one of the internet's most popular web publishing platforms. One of the biggest reasons for this are the themes. With WordPress themes you can instantly change the style and look of your website, with literally a click of a button. Another great feature is that many of these themes can be found for free. If you have been using WordPress you have probably done many Google searches for free themes. They are out there and in some cases they are fabulous. What about paid themes though? Have you ever thought of paying for a theme? Would you? I think in the right case, a paid theme makes a lot of sense. What are the benefits? Well here are just a couple...

1. Support: When you are paying for a good WordPress theme you are also paying for support. Any reputable dealer of WP themes will offer support, and most likely in the form of a forum. If you have any issues with your paid theme you can check out the forum and by either searching or asking you will get an answer. The support team will be able to troubleshoot any problems you have with the theme. They will be able to diagnose any plugin conflicts. They may even help you with some custom coding. On a premium theme forum I belonged to, the mods would even give me the exact code I needed to customize my site. You will not get any or much support with a free theme. Certainly not at the level described earlier. For the most part you are on your own. The time saved on troubleshooting alone will be worth the added price in no time.

2. Under The Hood Features: A lot of free themes look great, but they lack the under the hood features of paid themes. Most paid themes will add a settings panel in your WordPress back office that is unique to that theme. These control panels can make tasks like logo upload, favicon upload and other design features a snap. These admin areas will also help you control what is shown on your home page and in any featured posts areas. Sometimes you will even be able to change the color scheme of your premium theme from this area.

3. Removing Attribution: This might not be a huge deal for you, but if you are working for a client it might be to them. Almost all free WordPress themes require you to keep a credit or attribution to them in your footer. It isn't a huge deal but it might mean your footer says something like; "Powered By Apple Green Designs" which is a link to the free theme home page. If you are designing a site for a client, they might not want that. In fact, even if it is your own site you might not want that. Paid themes will usually offer you the chance to get rid of the attribution. In fact some will have an option in their control panel so you can just click it off or replace it simply.

4. Subscription Opportunities: One last bonus I will mention is that many times theme developers will let you pay a cost to access all their premium themes. This way you have access to a lot of really well designed themes. These themes are often geared towards a different use too. There are themes for photographers, tube themes, eShops, real estate etc... Their will be a theme for just about any use you can think of, as well as a wide variety of style choices. These kind of packages are great for the home based web designer.

These four reasons alone might be enough for you to make the change to a paid theme. Free themes have come a long way and they offer some great features and design, but to really kick your site up a notch you might need to make the switch to a premium theme. When you want to take your WordPress site to the next level - think premium.

Is Money Really Being Made On The Net?

http://bit.ly/K7ePMs

People e-mail me all the time with the question of how to make money online. Although the question itself sounds simple enough, the reality is that without some direction from you in terms of what your current skill set is you might as well be asking me how to get a job. When you want a job you usually pick a field that you have already worked in or have education in. Making money on the Internet is not a whole lot different.

Chances are you know how to do something that other people need to be educated in. Maybe it's as simple as you being a plumber. You could easily make videos about how to fix common household problems related to plumbing and sell them for a small fee online. Maybe even give some away as a way to build reciprocity with your audience. If you don't have a formal education or training, perhaps there is something that you have learned recently that you could leverage into a product.

Something as simple as setting up a proper profile on twitter, YouTube, Google maps etc. might be second nature to you. But a small business owner may not have the first idea about setting these things up. That's the business that almost anyone could do in their hometown.

It has never been cheaper to start a new business than today. You can have a free website running in less than 30 minutes. There is no excuse for not trying something new every day until you find what works for you. Your online business is no different than the off-line business world. You need to try new things constantly to see what works. Once you find something that works all you need to do is work on scaling it as large as you can.

If you are still asking the basic question, "how do I make money online?" Consider that you might really be asking "what do I want to do when I grow up? If you still don't know the answer you should probably consider looking at additional education for yourself.

When And How To Start Writing a Blog?

http://bit.ly/KNVmK8

So, you have been thinking about creating a blog, but aren't sure where to start. That's okay, this article will fill you in on what you need to know before you get started. The good news is that blogs are very easy to set up, and you can put up a basic blog in a fairly short amount of time. Here some basic tips to get you on the path to blogging success.

1. Decide what type of blog you want to have. Will it be a personal blog that is meant to be read by your family and friends? Will it be blog about one of your favorite hobbies? Or will the purpose of it be to make money? Know the kind of blog you'll have will determine a lot of the other things you need to do.

2. Pick a topic. Once you know what type of blog you'll have, you need to narrow it down to a more specific topic. Now, if this is just for family and friends, then it doesn't matter all that much as you won't be as concerned with how much traffic you get to your blog. If it's a blog about a hobby, then you can keep it more general, or you can blog about a specific aspect of the hobby. However, if you will be creating a blog to make money, then you need to be more careful about the topic you choose.

3. Research. Assuming you are interested in making money with your blog, you need to start with research. First, you need to research who your target audience is; how many people are part of your target audience, what their problems are, what solutions they're looking for, and how much they are willing to pay to solve their problems. Second, you need to research the best keywords for your blog. There are a few free keyword tools that should give you enough information to get started. However, it may be a good idea to find some paid keyword tools if you want to see even better results.

4. Keep your visitors in mind. This can be hard to do when you're the one who's creating a blog, but you have to do your best. Picture what your visitor sees when they first come to your blog. Are the colors to strong? Too dull? How are the graphics? Is everything laid out in a logical and intuitive manner? Are the posts easy to read? All of these things, and more, will make a big difference to your visitors. Needless to say, if they don't like what they see, they will go to someone else's blog. Therefore, it makes more sense to try to look at your blog through the eyes of your visitors.

5. Be yourself. What really keeps people coming back to a blog? In a word: personality. So, go ahead and let yourself come through in your posts. Some people may not like, but the ones that do could become some of your biggest fans, and will start recommending your blog to other people.

Is Paypal The Best Payment Processor?

http://bit.ly/K21PaT

One of the most often discussed debates when it comes to the world of online business is the method with which owners offer their customers to pay for the services rendered. Everybody has heard the tale about the witless consumer who gave his or her credit card number to some nameless company on the Internet and ended up with thousands of dollars charged to his or her card. There are about a thousand variations on the same horror story, which means that customers have high standards when it comes to giving out access to their financial resources online.

Namely, your site is going to have to offer your customers a way to conduct transactions with you in a method that is both secure and user-friendly. Not having a payment method listed on your site that is well-respected and trusted will seem unprofessional and send the vast majority of potential customers elsewhere. With the competitiveness of the online market, there’s no reason to lose a customer base due to perceived overtures of unreliability.

Most online businesses these days conduct their transactions through PayPal or through some form of online shopping cart. The pros and cons of both can be debated for days on end, but here is a quick overview of both.

PayPal is well known and proven, and has high levels of customer satisfaction. Even more intriguingly, it’s free of monthly fees for the user. The payment for services through PayPal is docked through a service charge, which is taken out of every transaction. There is much debate about at what point PayPal starts to become less cost-effective than a shopping cart, but the overall rule of thumb seems to be that if your business does less than 1000 dollars a month of money exchange, PayPal seems to be the best option. If your revenue level is higher than that, it’s best to have both a PayPal option as well as a shopping cart.

A shopping cart system requires a monthly maintenance fee, which can seem prohibitive to smaller businesses. However, once your business sees serious growth, it’s a good idea to invest in shopping cart services, if nothing else than for the peace of mind they can bring. Paying the fee means that somebody else deals with the hassle of embedding the software into your site, takes care of all the bugs that pop up, and generally ensures that things are running smoothly. With a PayPal account, the owner has to add this to the list of responsibilities.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that as a respectable online business owner, you must offer your customers some form of reliable payment method. Otherwise, you can kiss a great deal of potential revenue goodbye when customers seek out your competition for a more secure method of payment.

Stop Playing Nice And Lie Cheat And Steal Your Way TO Blogging Riches

http://bit.ly/JVxHOj

Lie Cheat And Steal Your Way....

Yes you read the title right - if you have been blogging with no results, then it is time to turn to the dark side. No more Mr. Nice Guy blogging for you. You have tried your best at being honest - now it is time to embrace the darkness. You need traffic? Then you need to lie, cheat and steal your way to blogging supremacy. Let me guide you down this dire path. If your pure and innocent mind is telling you to stop reading, you might want to continue just to see what I mean.

1. Lie! It is time to forget the ten commandments, lying can help you devise some catchy blog posts that will get talked about. I have to admit that my idea of lying might not be as evil as you were expecting. I am actually talking about satire. You can use satire to craft funny posts that people may feel more inclined to spread. This might be hard to explain so I will give you an example. I pretended to get a sneak peak at some upcoming software. I picked a software release that won't be happening for years and I gave ten "secret" facts about it. Of course I was "lying", I just made up new comedic features that were so over the top no one could take it seriously. It ended up getting some twitter love and was one of my more successful posts. The creator of the software even retweeted it and thanked me for giving him a good laugh.

2. Cheat! We covered lies, so now lets move on to cheating. What evil ideas will I come up with here? Well once again, it is a little ,vanilla. I think for us bloggers consistency is key. If you release posts everyday you will get Google love and more traffic. Sometime this is impossible though. I have had days so busy I can't possibly get a blog post out. That said, my RSS subscribers still got a notification in their email about a new post...because I cheated!

WordPress and most other blog platforms allow you to schedule posts. When you are "feeling it" and ready to crank out content -- crank out as much as possible and then like the infomercial says: "set it and forget it!". You can even keep a couple blog posts in a text file so you just have to copy and paste on your busy days.

3. Steal! Alright this is clear cut, I obviously meant you should go to someone else's blog and steal their content. This is simple! It is also plagiarism and I'm joking, I do not support that.

What you can steal are ideas! Browse your favorite blogs and get inspiration from them. You can easily and honestly get a topic or general themes from them. You can also go one step further and use a part of their post in your post. You can review their blog, you could review a video they made or you can take a single quote from their blog post (with attribution of course) and discuss your feelings about it. Stealing is usually frowned upon but I think in this case blog owners will be happy to receive exposure from your site.

We grew up learning not to lie, cheat or steal. I think the majority of people would agree they are wrong but even the most prudent person would agree my methods are pretty tame. If you are in a rut then don't forget; you can lie, cheat and steal your way to creating constant content! This should give your blog a much needed boost, and hey sometimes it feels good to be bad.

Choosing the Perfect Internet Marketing Software For You

http://bit.ly/Kz1969

There is no doubt that online marketing sounds like a great way to advertise your business. While it's true that it odes have a lot of advantages over traditional marketing methods, it can be confusing and take a lot of time; especially for those who are new to it. The good news is that there is a solution to those problems, and that solution is internet advertising software. But don't think that such software is only made for, or useful to, new marketers. It can also be beneficial to those who have been involved in internet marketing for a long time.

It would be next to impossible to make a blanket statement that describes all internet advertising software, but generally speaking, it should be able to streamline and automate a lot of your marketing efforts. You should also expect it to be easy enough to use, and to come with clear instructions for its use. Some software is quite self-explanatory, while some has a steeper learning curve. Even if it takes longer to get the hang of, it should come with a good usage guide, or even videos that walk you through how to use it.

As long as you are interested in internet advertising software, you should look into what kind of support is offered. At the very least, you should sign up for updates so you will be aware of any new versions or security patches. You can get some idea of how good a company's support is by contacting them before you buy. Then take note of how quickly they respond, and how professional they are. If you don't hear from them, or they are rude, before you become a customer, then you can assume you will be treated the same after becoming a customer. In other words, you may want to look at another piece of software.

Other than that, you should have a good idea of what areas you want the internet advertising software to help you with. For example, if you are interested in robust ad tracking, then getting a piece of software that helps you keep tabs on your inventory doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Don't just buy something because it sounds good and you think you may use it "some day". Get what you need, or what you are sure you will need in the immediate future.

Before you buy anything, go online and search for reviews. Keep in mind that not all reviewers are being honest, good or bad. So, you will need to consider the source, and then look at the totality of all the comments before using them to help you make your decision. For the most part, you can trust reviews that are made by featured reviewers in well-established outlets.

There is a lot of good internet advertising software out there. Software that can save you time, money and hassle. Using it can make things that much easier for you, and that means spending less time on the "boring stuff" and spending more on the fun part...which is collecting your profits.

Reincarnating Online Ads

http://bit.ly/JFilgK

Have you ever thought of placing a classified ad online to get some online ad traffic? There are so many free ad sites out there you should never have to pay a dime to put ads online. There are people who will tell you that those free sites are so congested that your ads may not ever be seen but if you choose to not place that ad then that will surely be the case, won't it? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Place the ad on the free sites. You never know, the one person who really needs what you are selling may just be looking there right now. Why anyone would ignore such a good resource is beyond me but even I know someone who has listened to the naysayers and she has not been very successful in her internet business endeavors because she has no online ad traffic. Just think of the millions of people she could have reached if she had just placed that ad on the free sites.

Learning how to write a n effective ad will put you one above the rest. If you can't write or are intimidated by the process then hire someone to write it for you. You will need to make sure you have the budget for this.

The cheapest way is to learn to write for yourself. My advice to you is to take a look at what is out there for writing samples on the internet. If you can speak English and can hold a pen in your hand you are qualified to write your own ads. Some of the stuff you find out there is so bad it will leave you shaking your head in wonder as to how they ever got published in the first place. Some of it doesn't even make sense!

Anyway, you can do this, I have faith in you. First, make a list of, say, ten free classified ad sites you think you can trust. Then, research them to be sure you can trust them. Make sure they are on the up and up with no funny stuff going on. When you get ready to submit your ad, be sure to follow their rules for submitting ads closely. Remember you are trying to get more traffic to you website not the other way around.

Read all of the directions before you do anything. Find out if you can upload a picture of what you are selling. This will help increase sales. The free sites may not allow pictures but check it out and if they do then put one up. It can't hurt.

These free sites may not have categories of ads listed so your ad may get lost in the jumble but like I said if it is not out there then it surely will not be seen. Use every advantage you can find when it comes to trying to drive online ad traffic to your site. Use the free sites to start and then graduate to paid sites when the money starts rolling in.

What do you Charge For Your Ebook?

http://bit.ly/KtGd65

You've written and compiled an E-Book. Now you have to decide how much to charge for it. Finding the right price is essential to the success of your product. If you charge too little, people will think it's of little value, and they won't purchase it, or even it they do buy your book, you will have to sell thousands of copies to get to the point where you can begin to see a profit. If you price it too high when compared with your competition, you will find yourself steadily lowering the price, which will cause you all kinds of new problems in the future. For example, if you sell your E-Book at first for $39.99, and later reduce it to $24.95, don't you think the people who bought it for $39.99 are going to be PISSED?

Choosing the right price for your E-Book is one of the most critical parts of the marketing process. The first rule of pricing E-Books is to never underprice. Determine the highest price your audience can afford, and then if you find your book isn’t selling, you can always reduce the price. Before you take that step, make sure you are promoting your book like crazy on the Internet and on websites. The price should be aimed at bringing in profits, but you should never forget that price is one of the factors that people use in judging the value of your E-Book ? before they buy it. So always start with the highest price, and then launch a mega-marketing campaign.

Pricing an E-Book is particularly difficult because E-Books are a fairly new commodity. Since they are digital, the value of an E-Book is as confusing as the understanding of what digital actually is to the average layperson. This means that we must look at E-Books in a different light in order to determine their actual worth in this brave, new cyber world.

Let's look at the difference between a book in print and an E-Book. A printed book is an object you can hold in your hand, store on your bookshelf, even hand down to the next generation. It is priced on factors such as paper stock, design and production costs, and marketing.

But the fact that unites E-Books and print books is that they are composed of ideas. It is the ideas in these books that have the ability to change, or possibly transform, people's lives.

What do you think an idea is worth when evaluated against the cost of paper and ink?

It is the IDEAS that are valuable! That is how you determine the cost of your E-Book.

What should I charge for my ideas?

There are all different formulas and methods for determining the correct price for your E-Book. Let's begin with honing in on your ultimate goals.

Decide if your goal is to get wide distribution and maximum exposure. This goal is aimed at drawing customers to your business or service, or to establishing the credibility of your reputation. If this is your main goal, you should aim to keep your price on the low side. Some authors have even priced their E-Books at a profit loss to draw a high number of new customers. The key is to find a price that maximizes your profits and the number of books you sell.

This is an excellent pricing strategy if you are looking to acquire long-term customers. Long-term customers are extremely likely to buy from you again and again as long as the first E-Book they buy is of exceptional quality and beneficial to the customer.

However, if your book contains valuable and more importantly NEW information, references, or techniques then you should aim to price it on the high end.

After you figure out your goal, you must figure out what your audience's need is for your E-Book. For example, does your book solve a particular problem? If it does, and solves it in a way that hasn't been written about in one hundred other E-Books, you will be able to achieve high sales at a high price. If your book solves a problem or answers questions in a new and unique way, you should price your book as high as you can go. You will achieve larger profits this way, but bring in fewer customers. Just make sure the question or problem that your book solves is one that is important and relevant to the majority of your market audience. If your ideas are not common knowledge, or you are presenting a brand new technique, you will be able to sell books at a high price. Just be prepared for your competition to undercut you on price as soon as they hear about your book.

Keep in mind that the above pricing strategy is temporary. Eventually, you will cease to sell books at this high price. So figure out in advance how long you plan to offer your E-Book at this high price, and when that time is up, change your pricing strategy.

If you want to see large profits over customer draw, aim for an audience that is looking for easy solutions to their problems at a low price. If your book is aimed at solving one particular problem rather than general advice, then you can charge more. Start at the highest price the market will bear to bring in the largest profits, and plan to discount the book a number of times throughout the year.

Marketing Strategies

The key that unlocks the sales potential of your E-Book is to find a single sentence that becomes your selling handle. This sentence states what question or problem your book answers and the benefits your E-Book can provide. Then be sure to use that sentence in every piece of sales and promotional material, and every time anyone asks you about your E-Book.

Besides promoting your books assiduously online, there are several other strategies that can help you sell more books.

One is to give something away for free with your book, such as a valuable bonus item. Or bundle several E-Books under one price, which lowers the price for each E-Book if they were sold separately.

An effective technique for figuring out a price is to send out a survey to your current customers. If these customers have already bought an E-Book from you, ask for their opinion in terms of price. Do this by creating a sales page for the new book, but don't include a price on that page. Instead, add a number of links to survey questions that ask pointed questions to aid you in assigning a price to your E-Book.

Another strategy is to test out prices by creating a number of duplicate sales pages with different prices on each page. Make sure your sales copy is exactly the same on every page, and includes your selling-handle sentence. Then figure out for each page the conversion ratio between visitors to your site and sales of your book. This will tell you what your optimum price is.

Ultimately, if you've written a book that solves a problem or presents a new technique, your book will bring in both traffic and profits. So be sure to write that selling-handle sentence that sums up what problem your book solves and what the benefits of your book will be to the customers who purchase it. And then watch your market come to you!

The Secret in Creating a Top Notch Keyword List

http://bit.ly/KqDXwC

When doing your keyword research it's very important that you don't overlook a very obvious, but frequently overlooked fact: you don't just want traffic to your site, you want targeted traffic. You want to draw the people to your website who are most likely to buy the product or service you are selling. For that reason you cannot forget to consider the relevant keyword when evaluating your keyword list.

Make sure that the keywords you are targeting are relevant to what your website is promoting. If you find that you have kind of missed the boat you can either renew your keyword list or change some of the content on your website to make it match up more closely with your keyword list.

All the search engines consider relevance very highly. If you target keywords that are not closely related to your website, the search engines will find that you have very low relevance and won't rank your site as high.

Do not get too caught up on one or two word keywords, in almost all cases they will be much too competitive and you will have a very hard time ranking for them. Instead, find a large list of keyword phrases. When you have a 3 or 4 word keyword phrase you may not get quite as many searches but you also won't have nearly as much competition.

Longer keyword phrases can still deliver a lot of searches, probably not as many as the more popular one and two word phrases, but they will also be much less competitive.

When you first start your keyword research you can use many tools online, some of them are free, some of them are not. If you have a limited budget you should start with the free Google keyword tool. This one tool can give you all the information you need to compile an excellent keyword list.

Again, the basics of a good keyword list is to have keywords that get a lot of monthly searches (around 1,500) and few competitors (usually anything less than 20,000, though this can vary, you have to find your own parameters).

It may take you and little trial and error to find the highly relevant, well searched for keywords that also don't have a lot of competition. This process can sometimes get a little tedious, but remember a good keyword list is like money in the bank. When you have a highly targeted keyword list you can get a lot of quality traffic to your website and that can relate directly into sales.

To recap, in order to build a top notch keyword list that will allow you to get a ton of very targeted traffic you will need to consider several variables. One of them is to find only the most relevant keyword possible. The keyword must relate directly to the subject of your website. If it does you can have a much higher conversion rate and you can also get a lot more organic traffic.

PLR Reduces Time-To-Profit

http://bit.ly/KmSzgv

I wanted to share a casual case study on generating money with PLR.   I found myself needing a lump sum of money last month.  It was a surprise cost that kind of caught me flat footed.  I had just finished paying for some software updates AND ALL of my outsourcers.

I needed to make some money quick â€" and figured since I had all of these PLR products created I might as well use a couple.

I knew the key to making money quick would be offline.  AKA I hit the streets.  I know some online earners hate to hit the streets but sometimes it is a quick and easy way to not only make money, but build your network.

The best part is this really cost me nothing to start.  If you were to do it you would have to pay for the PLR but that is it….well, plus the cost of printing two pages.

The first thing I did was choose some PLR products â€" I chose 4 social media and web based PLR products.

I stuck with these four to begin with.   They are all geared towards local small businesses so they are perfect for my demographic.

Using Mac Pages â€" I created a one page “menu” or brochure that had an image of each of the products and some sales copy.  I included a price of $9 per guide.  I then created another page that was full of eye popping stats about online marketing.  I got these stats from other PLR products we had created.  I got both of these printed and laminated for less than $10.

I then hit the streets, the internet and the phones.  Obviously not all at once but my main goal was to get in front of decision makers.  I phoned some friends and got referrals.  I posted on the town’s Facebook wall asking if any local businesses needed online marketing help â€" and I got requests for meetings this way.

Lastly, I hit the streets and did a walk up and down downtown â€" not selling with anything â€" just getting meetings.  I was totally honest and transparent.  I asked biz owners if they were happy with their online presence, and if not would they mind considering some ways they could increase their online exposure.  I dealt with some rude and gruff responses, but on the whole most people were interested and a number of them committed to some meetings.

After ONE day of hitting the streets, and another day of hitting up my own network via email, Facebook and the phone â€" I had scheduled 17 meetings over the next week.

Here was my general plan of attack in the meetings.  I simply asked about their current online presence and listened.  I gave them some hints if I noticed anything glaring missing from their presence.  After some discussion â€" I showed them my “menu’ of PLR products and explained how each could help them. I also showed them the stats sheet.  I went into my pitch and tried to sell them on the cheap guides.  If people wanted to negotiate I would â€" as long as I kept above the cost for printing the guides.  A number of people I sold instantly. Some people paid right away and others didn’t feel comfortable until I had the guide for them.  Either way I don’t really care because even if I get stiffed for a guide or two â€" that isn’t the real money maker

I took the orders, and told them I would bring them their guide on whatever date (this is also an added excuse to get in front of potential customers, and when you come back you will be welcomed because you are bringing in a product for them â€" totally different dynamic on this visit â€" use it!).  Only once I had gotten all of my orders did I print the guides.  This way no waste whatsoever, unless someone backed out of course but that really isn’t a big deal and actually never happened to me.  Anyways, all orders (paid or awaiting guide) equaled out to 29 (this included some biz owners getting all 4).  Now, since some of these deals were bundles â€" the gross revenue from selling the guides was about $225.  I ended up paying about $100 to print the guides out.

So after a couple of days I had netted $125.  Not good enough.  The key is though, the guides weren’t my main objective.  Essentially the guides were advertising for big ticket offers.  So in essence, I just got paid $125 to advertise to local businesses.  Not bad!

Now here is the key â€" fill your guides with up-sells!  Offer social media training, web design, web hosting affiliate links, etc…  Since I have access to all of the PLR at Best Quality PLR, I even offered bundles of eBooks as digital downloads.   I didn’t get too obnoxious with the ads in the guides but I wasn’t shy with them either.  I even had a couple mini fliers made and inserted them.  These fliers were for web design deals.

Now I have the skill to build websites for local businesses, but if you don’t don’t worry about it.  Outsource it!  Just make sure you charge enough to make a profit.

Anyways, TWO days after I had dropped off the guides around town I got an email form a local business looking for a simple website.  I was able to use my Hostgator affiliate  link for their hosting and domain â€" so another $50 right there.  On top of that, we worked out a deal for a basic website â€" one grand!   The customer was more than happy to pay half in advance since at this point we had an established relationship.

So after that process I had earned:

$125 from guide (ad!) sales

$50 Hostgator affiliate

$1000 web deal

$1175

Not bad for essentially a weeks work.  It won’t let me retire early, but I was in a pinch and needed money.  I was able to get it with PLR.  The crazy thing is I have been in constant contact with 4 other business owners so I am probably going to make even more money.

If there is one thing I would change it was not including some sort of online coaching offer.  So many of the business owners have just wanted to “chat”.  I like creating goodwill, but there is also value in letting people know your time is valuable.  It is also yet another monetization method on something I have already did all the legwork on.  I think if I do this again I will include a mini flyer for a discount on “online coaching”.

Not everyone feels comfortable hitting the streets, but if you have a plan, an offer and some great PLR products you WILL make some money.

5 P-words for all Copywriters

http://bit.ly/Kk7rMs

When settling in to draft original copy for a web project, it is important to keep the five Ps of Web Copyrighting in mind. In fact, using this simple formula will make all the difference in how well you stay on track with your objectives.

Here are each of the five Ps along with a simple definition.

1. Problem â€" Whenever your task is to convince someone of a need, you must first convince the buyer there is a dilemma that must be addressed. This dilemma or problem helps to set up a sense of urgency, indicating action must be taken in order to take care of the issue at hand. Once your copy presents this problem, then you can begin the process of convincing the buyer you have the solution.

2. Promise â€" Essentially, your promise is that the subject matter of your sales pitch is going to make everything okay again. For example, if you presented the problem of dirty windows, you now promise that your product provides the best solution available.

3. Proof â€" Having made a promise or claim, it is now time to put your money where your mouth is. In order words, you are going to present all the reasons why your solution works better than anything else. Here is where you make your solution irresistible to the consumer by pointing out how quickly and easily the problem can be made to go away.

4. Price â€" After making all the benefits clear, you add the icing to the cake. That is, you make note of what a small cost is necessary to obtain all these wonderful advantages. The idea is to convey that your solution is worth every penny of the cost, even if it may be a little more than some of the similar but obviously inferior products offered by the competition.

5. P.S. â€" This is where you add in one more added benefit. This can be something that is outside the scope of the original problem, but somehow still related. For example, you may note that your product not only makes windowpanes crystal clear, but will also do a great job on that resin furniture in the back yard. The p.s. is your chance to provide one more benefit and thus nudge a consumer who is on the fence to go ahead and take the plunge.

This simple formula can be utilized with just about any type of situation where you want to present an issue and then offer a viable solution. Give it a try. Think of a single problem and then see where this process takes you. The results will be a pleasant surprise.
